Paul W. Vaverchak , 86, passed away on Wednesday at Crouse Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Paul was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Vaverchak.

Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Paul served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Winnie of 58 years, daughters; Jacqueline (Carl) Simchick, Jayne (Bruce) Zakett, Nancy Vaverchak, grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Adam, Eric, Amy, Philip, Rachael, brother, Thomas Vaverchak and sister, Susan O'brien.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main St., N. Syracuse.

A funeral service will be held on Monday 10:00 am at the Funeral Home.

Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
