Paul Lampkin

Paul Lampkin, 56, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday after a brief illness.
He left this world surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Syracuse and attended Syracuse City Schools.
He was the son of the late David and Gladys Lampkin and the husband of the late Brenda Noel Lampkin.
He was employed as a bus driver and transporter by Jackson Limousine Co., Peace Inc., A&E, Birnie Bus, First Student and Ultra Care Cab Companies for over 20 years. Paul was also self-employed as a painter for over 15 years.
Paul was very social, having a large circle of friends and family. He was a good cook, being well taught by his mom and enjoyed playing cards, listening to the blues, fishing and most of all, spending quality time with his family and friends. Paul will be remembered for his humor, playful spirit and stubborn personality. Paul was loved by everyone and his physical presence will be missed.
Paul was preceded in death by two older brothers, Oscar and Wiley Lampkin.
Paul leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories his daughter, Tiffany (Jason) Caesar; his stepson Andre (Tessie) Bell; his stepdaughter, Kyonnia Canery, all of Syracuse; two brothers, James "Doc" (Cheri) Lampkin of Syracuse and John L. Lampkin of Florida; three sisters, Ethel Mae Combs and Inez Combs, both of Alabama and Ella Weymans of Michigan; many aunts and uncles including Mozelle Reed, Mary Dorsey and Spencer (Essie) Dorsey, all of Syracuse; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; mother-in-law, Nettie Noel; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends and his companion, Shawn Moore.
Visitation 11am-1pm with service at 1pm at Hopps Memorial CME Church, 1110 S. State St., Syracuse.
