Paul J. Uricchio, 89, of Baldwinsville, passed away Wednesday at the VA Hospital. Paul was the founder and owner of Roger's Shoe Store in Downtown Syracuse for many years before moving to Florida, where he spent 30 years of his life. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in Burma and several other campaigns. He was predeceased by his wife, Louise DeFabio.
Paul is survived by daughter, Mary (Edmond) Dodge; son, Paul (Marge) Uricchio; grandsons, Paul (Wendy) Uricchio, Aaron (Maryellen) Dodge; granddaughters, Cara Dodge and Patricia Uricchio and three beautiful grandsons, John Richard Dodge, Braydon Paul and Logan Paul Uricchio; two sisters, Jennie Pietra and Angie Bovalina; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to VA Hospital Hospice Unit, 800 Irving Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210 Attn: Gwen Minton LMSW.
