Paul F. Gill, Sr., formerly of Minoa, passed away on Thursday at Loretto Nursing Home. He was born on April 9, 1923 in Auburn, son of John and Mary Gill. Paul at one time worked at East Syracuse Chevrolet, for many years and retired from St. Anne's Church & School in 1992. Paul was also a volunteer fire fighter for Minoa Fire Dept., he was on the Red Cross Disaster Team and he was a medic for EAVES. He enjoyed the outdoors and being up at Eighth Lake near Inlet, NY. Paul was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis, of 53 years, son, Paul, Jr. (Ellie), Warners, NY, 8 daughters; Beth Ann (John) Mishko, Homer, AK, Mary, Virginia, Robin, Nancy Gill Gonsalves, Central Square, Margaret (Dennis) Wilson, Earlville, Linda Gill- Jones (William), Theresa (Wayne) Smith, 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Jean in 1965.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday Feb. 23 at 11 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Calling hours will be held from 10-11am at the funeral home.
