Paul R. Carr

Paul R. Carr, 87, of Syracuse, passed away on May 18, 2024 at his home. Paul was born in Syracuse on February 14, 1937 son of the late Edmund & Antoinette Carr. Paul served in the US Army and was stationed in Manheim, Germany as a MP and retired from Saunders Concrete in Syracuse. He enjoyed fishing, boating and going on long drives. Paul also liked watching the planes land at the airport. He made regular visits to casinos with family to play bingo. Most of all he enjoyed being active in his kids’ and grandkids’ lives, attending all events and family gatherings.

Paul was predeceased by his wife Christine in 2008 and 8 brothers & sister.

He is survived by his children; Pamela (Christopher) Quigley, Rob Carr, Cheryl Reynolds, Vicki (Kenneth) Barton, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister, Shirley Cowen, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2024 from 5-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 29, 2024 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
