Patricia "Pat" Rausch

Patricia "Pat" Rausch, 81, of Syracuse, passed away on April 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Pat dedicated two decades of her career to Syracuse University. Her commitment and passion shone through, impacting the institution and the many lives it touched. Coming from a large family, she often gathered her loved ones for heartfelt family dinners especially at Easter and Christmas. Pat had a special affinity for baking and enjoyed spending hours watching the Food Network, drawing inspiration for her culinary creations.

Traveling and going on cruises brought Pat immense joy, relishing every moment she spent exploring new horizons. She held a particular fondness for Neil Diamond, and attended many concerts.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Tracy; her daughter, Toni (Tom Pettus) Cole; sons, John "Jay" (Kathy) Ostune and Tom Lockman; a shared daughter, Nicole (Shane) Simmons; grandchildren, David, Jason, Danielle and Thomas; and several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Particularly close to her heart were her special nieces, Rene, Jennifer and Julia with whom she shared a cherished bond. She also leaves her siblings, Pam, Paulette, Jackie, Bonnie and Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Marg; brother, Tony; and grandson, Chris.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 3-7PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals.
