Patricia (Morrison) Menard, beloved wife, mother and daughter,born on July 19, 1927 in Etowah, Tennessee, passed away on June 18, 2019 in Syracuse, New York.
Patricia was a groundbreaking woman of her time. Raised by a working mother during the Great Depression, Patricia joined the workforce as a young mother to support her own family and climbed the company ranks at Avon to become an executive on the strength of her work ethic and ability to connect with clients.
After retirement, she and her husband Nelson remained active, visiting friends, going out to lunch, taking long drives to explore local towns, and helping with their grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed cooking, interior design, shopping, reading history and true crime books, and sewing outfits for her granddaughters.
She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years Nelson J. Menard, beloved parents Gladys (Adams) and Aaron "Pop" Morrison, and siblings Wesley Horton, John Horton and Florence (Horton) Nichols.
She is survived by her three children, Bonnie (Douglas) Allen, Robert (Joanne) Menard and Kimberly (John) Gruninger. She had several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private celebration of Patricia's life will be held at a later date.
