Patricia Ruth Hoey Lockwood, 81, of North Syracuse passed away peacefully on June 20, 2020.
Born in Pennsylvania, Pat's family relocated to Gloversville and then Syracuse when she was young. Pat graduated high school from St. Anthony's in 1957, and Central City Business Institute (CCBI) with a medical secretarial degree in 1959. Prior to marriage, Pat worked at New York Telephone and Niagara Mohawk.
Pat married the love of her life, Donald Vade Lockwood, in 1961 and they had three sons together. Pat became a homemaker once she had her children, and in her middle years, she was the manager for her husband's limousine company. Pat enjoyed ceramics and macramé and made many beautiful pieces throughout her lifetime for herself, family and friends. Pat also enjoyed cooking and hosting holidays for her family during her middle years. During her later years, Pat enjoyed scrapbooking and crafting. Pat loved to read, listen to music, and enjoyed playing cards with friends and family.
Patricia was predeceased by her father, Richard Hoey; her mother, Agnes (Sposato) Hoey; and her sister, Carol (Hoey) Bibik. Patricia is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald V. Lockwood of North Syracuse; sons Daniel (Christina) B. Lockwood (North Syracuse), Michael D. Lockwood (Utica), and Stephen R. Lockwood (North Syracuse); grandchildren. Meghan (Humic) Pashow (Otisco), Daniel B. Lockwood, Jr. (Camillus), Jessica K. (Lockwood) Wales (Liverpool), Nicole E. Lockwood (Marcellus), and Emily M. Lockwood (Utica), and her great-grandchildren, Madilynn G. Lockwood, Samuel F. Pashow, Oliver L. Pashow and Harrison J. Pashow; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements.
Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
Calling hours are Friday, June 26th, from 10-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse, NY with a private service for immediate family following.
