Patricia M. George, 73, passed away January 13th, 2021. She was born in Syracuse, NY, on May 6th, 1947 to her loving parents, John & Anna Anderson and older sister, Barbara. She grew up on Lombard Avenue and would reminisce about the childhood joys it provided to her and her younger sister, Linda. Pat graduated from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in 1965. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area a few years later and lived with her cousin and life long friend, Susie. After meeting her husband, Russell George, they married in 1969 and settled down in Redwood City. They had two sons, Russ & Greg. In 2008 Pat returned to Syracuse. She settled at Brighton Towers where she had many friends and was a parishioner of All Saints Catholic Church.
Despite hardships, Pat always found beauty, hope, and love in life. She felt peace near water, and enjoyed dancing, listening to music, watching movies, celebrating holidays, sunbathing, baking, camping, caring for children, and cheering on the Warriors, San Francisco Giants, and 49ers. Above all, she cherished spending time with family & friends.
In Pat's later years, her health declined, but she woke up daily with a positive attitude. Contracting COVID-19 would shorten her time here with us. We find comfort in knowing she had tremendous faith in what was to come after this life and is reunited with her parents, older sister, and husband.
She is survived by her sons, Russell (Jennifer) George and Gregory George; grandsons, Aaron, Justin, and Tyler; sister, Linda Anderson; cousins, nieces, nephew, and great-nieces & great-nephews — all of whom she loved uniquely and deeply.
Her gentleness, generosity, playfulness, empathy, and thoughtfulness will be remembered and missed forever.
No services will be held at this time.
