Patricia Eggert, a lifelong resident of Collamer, passed away early Monday morning in her home at the age of 80.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edward Eggert; children, Steve Eggert (Diane) of Collamer, Maripat Murphy of Syracuse, James Eggert (Gaylene) of California and Carol Ann Small (Stephen) of Virginia; grandchildren, Tom, Jack and Connor Murphy, John and Emma Small and Grace and Lila Eggert; sisters, Janet Mittag and Karen Backity and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Patricia Was a lifelong member of the Collamer United Church. Patricia graduated from East Syracuse High School. She spent most of her adult life being a homemaker for her loving family. When her girls were young, she actively volunteered as a scout leader with the Girl Scouts of America. When she wasn't baking or gardening around the house, she would be at the family farm, Cobblestone Creek, helping prepare vegetables for market.
Pat always loved helping others and making the world a more beautiful place. As a younger woman, she spent over a decade working for Sanford Fire Apparatus.
A memorial service will be Thursday 11AM at the Collamer United Church with a gathering in the fellowship hall to follow. Burial will take place at 2PM in the Pine Plains Cemetery in N. Manlius.
