Patricia D. Finnemore
April 2, 2015
Our loving mother, Patsy passed away after a long fight with multiple illnesses. She peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side and under her own terms. Patsy is predeceased by her mother E. Arlene Gane and father Leonard Corbett.
Patsy has worked at many jobs in and around the Syracuse area. She worked at Crouse hospital, in the Federal bldg and car repossession. Her favorite place to work was the Cicero liquor store. She was a nationally certified ceramic teacher. She owned her own shop and taught classes for many years.
Patsy was a great cook and baker. She loved the kitchen, not just the cooking but the whole dining experience. The table setting, etiquette, serving and tasting. She was an avid collector of cookbooks.
Patsy was a biological mother of three children and a foster mother to many. She was so loving and open armed that, her home was always open to many other children. She considered them "all of my kids!"
Up until this past fall Patsy was still enjoying her gardening. She loved to dig in the dirt and could grow anything. Every place she lived, there are plants and flowers she loved and left behind for others to enjoy.
Survivors include her daughter Beth Freeman, sons Wayne (Christine) Finnemore and Timothy Finnemore all of Cicero. Granddaughter Sarah Freeman (Brandon Caza) of N. Syracuse, grandson Cody Freeman of Cicero, sister Linda Moore of Arizona, brother Frank Corbett of Maine, Aunt Marge Robinson, Uncle W.M "Wally" Utt both of Pennsylvania. Several cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all.
