Patricia A. Collins

Patricia A. Collins, 87, of Syracuse, passed away March 3, 2024. Patricia was born in Solvay, New York on September 10, 1936 to John and Anna Chester.

Patricia retired from Benjamin Rush, and worked for the Herald Journal Newspaper as a telephone operator. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, reading, watching sports, especially the Yankees and SU Basketball, spending time with family and friends. Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and loved spending time with her pets.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Dennis F. Collins; Partner, Matthew Pedvick; Father, John Chester; Mother, Anna Chester; and Brother, John Chester.

She is survived by her Daughter, Mary Collins; Son, Dennis Collins; Grandchildren, Tiara Connor, Ashley Connor, Ryan Connor, and Dennis Collins; Great-Grandchildren, Jaymari Newsome, Kashif Peterson Jr., Asaad Hill, Abrielle Judge, and Luisa Wood; Brother, Richard (Carol) Chester; several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins; and her devoted Dogs.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to CHD Memorial Foundation, St. Jude Children's Hospital, and Helping Hounds Dog Rescue.
