Patricia F. Blazek, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on February 14, 2019 to forever be with her husband and Valentine, Stephen Blazek, who predeceased her April 12, 2017.
She retired from OCM BOCES as a Network Systems Programmer in 2005, after working there for 25 years.
Pat was an avid bowler all her life, bowling in leagues 2 to 3 times a week, even qualifying for The Masters Tournament a few times. For many years she was either President, Secretary, or Treasurer for two of the three, voted in by the many she bowled with. She made many life-long lasting friendships with the ladies (and their spouses) on those leagues, and always looked forward to their annual trip to compete in the Lilac Tournament in Rochester...and she did have some very funny , fond memories of those "girls weekends" !
She was as devoted as Stephen to her diva jack-a-poo, Jessee, who is missing her dearly. Pat was also very involved with local cancer walks, donations, fundraising, etc for several dear friends stricken with cancer.
She absolutely loved to be able to "do" the wedding invitations and bridal/baby shower invitations for all her friends, even pushing herself to finish the wedding invitations for her dear friend's daughter in September 2018, while she was waiting for her pacemaker procedure...she was so very happy she was able to give that gift to the bride.
Pat also had very fond memories of past vacations with family and friends, and always, always loved the "girls day at The State Fair", as well as enjoying going to the casino for dinner and date night with Stephen.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa-Marie McBarron; her son, "Nick" Harry (Nicole) D'Agostino; her granddaughters, Sarah Mae McBarron and Aliyah Abdullah; her grandsons, Kyle Cummins, Rovelle D'Agostino, Nicholas D'Agostino, and Akil Abdullah; five great-grandchildren, Bradley, Trent, Aurora, Lydia and Anastasia; her step-son, James (Tammy) Blazek; step-daughter, Melissa (Robert) Keller, and step-grandson, Julian Hermes.
She was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn Mae Prime; her father, Vincent Murray; and two sisters, Dolores Kocher and Eleanor Leotta.
Per Pat's final wishes, memorial services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 1pm - 4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, N. Syracuse, NY.
We look forward to celebrating her life, and sharing all of our best, funniest and fondest memories of her with each other.
