Pamela V. Simmons

July 17, 1959 — February 7, 2024

Pamela V. Simmons, 64, of Syracuse, passed away February 7, 2024. Pamela was born in Belton, Missouri on July 17th, 1959 to Louise Simmons. She grew up in Elmhurst in Queens, NY, before moving to Syracuse where she attended OCC and Crouse School of Nursing for her RN Degree. Her two daughters she shared with the love of her life Roy, were her pride and joy.

"Nurse Pam" spent the years subbing as a school nurse in the SCSD and invested her summers as camp nurse at Boys and Girls Harbor in Long Island. She loved to dance to the kitchen radio with Roy while they cooked Shrimpaghetti. Not a sunny day went by where she didn't tend to her exuberant garden. Pam was a registered nurse, an adoring Nana, an avid reader, an activist, a purveyor of peace and a lover of all living things.

She is predeceased in death by mother, Louise Simmons.

She is survived by her life companion, Roy Wagner; two daughters, Celeste (Jason Davidson) Wagner and Celina (Anthony Benhart) Wagner; grandson, Dean Davidson; and two sisters, Sandy Vaughn and Pixie (Bill Schneider) Simmons.

Calling hours will be held, Saturday February 24th, from 4-6PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals.
