Pamela M. Crosland

November 7, 1948 — October 26, 2021

Pamela Crosland, 72, of Middletown, Ohio was called home by the Lord, Tuesday, October 26, 2021. She was born on November 7, 1948 to Percy & Mary Williams. She was the only African American to graduate in the top 10% of her class at Bishop McGuiness Catholic High School, located in Oklahoma City. She started her career as an Administrative support professional and decided to follow in her mother's footsteps, (with a helping heart), to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in her 40's. She worked most of her career as a nurse in Pediatrics at the Syracuse Community Health Center, in which she had the opportunity to show her heart and compassion to help under-served children in the community. She put her heart and soul into everything and everyone she connected with. She believed in the power of family, even during times of struggle; she was always a pillar of strength, personal counselor and friend.

Her greatest treasures were her children and grandchildren (Matthew 6:21 says…where your treasure is, there your heart will be also). Through tribulation and triumph, the love she had for her children, gave her the strength she needed to keep going through difficult times. She loved her children equally, even though she had a different relationship with all of them. She was not in the presence of all of her grandchildren, but as much as she could, she would make sure that she showed them love by sending memorable gifts, sometimes crafted or created by her personally, on special occasions. In recent years, her personal relationship with God was evident as the Lord spoke to her to begin a Bible Study Group with her friends during a brief time in Oklahoma City, and she had the privilege of being around her youngest grandson, Patrick Hibbert, in which she began to teach him the power of prayer and have weekly Bible Study's to include her oldest great grandchild, Wynter Paige. Her love for God also taught her the power of forgiveness, that gave her the strength to reach out to her siblings to reconnect and diminish the division that impacted their relationship for years.

She is survived by husband, Ronnie Gregory; 4 children, Phillip (Brooks), Mary, Jason (Rachel), Bethany; 9 grandchildren, Tashonia, Javan, Isiah, Aliyah, Shakyla (Corey), Alexis, Madison, Gabrielle, Patrick; 3 great grandchildren, John, Wynter, & Zomaj; 3 sisters, Alicia (Salaam), Juliana, Veronica & 2 brothers; Percy Jr., Oscar (Tina) and several nieces and nephews.

She was truly the definition of selflessness. She was more concerned with the needs of others before her own needs. She was not concerned with monetary riches, her riches came from the love of family and helping those in need, which mirrors the Greatness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
