Palma J Martin, 93, of East Syracuse, passed away January 1, 2018.
Palma was born in Syracuse, New York on April 13, 1924 to the late Salvatore and Rosa Parise.
Palma was very proud of working for Remington Rand making guns during WWII. Later in life she worked at Hancock Air Force Base on Taft Rd. She loved her family, gardening, cooking, and ballroom dancing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Martin; and a son, John W. Martin. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Thomas) Vasiloff; a son, Daniel R (Sheila) Martin; four grandsons, Gregory T (Angela) Vasiloff, Timothy M (Alyssa) Vasiloff, Daniel J. Martin, Richard Martin; three granddaughters, Elizabeth T. Martin, Danielle M. Martin, Lindsay Martin; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 8th at 9am at St. Matthews Church in East Syracuse with interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
