Oronzo "Roy" D. Moro died peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on Sunday.
Born on March 17, 1930 to Nicholas and Antoinette Moro, he was a graduate of North High School in Syracuse.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan (Orio) Moro, of Syracuse; his daughter, Diane Moro, of Liverpool; his granddaughter, Nicole Moro, of Louisville, KY; his brother, Onofrio (Mary) Moro; his sisters –in-law Karen, Diane, and Janet Moro, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Antoinette, his father, Nicholas, and his brothers Peter, Chester, and Joseph Moro.
A supervisor at Carrier Corporation, he retired in 1987.
Roy enjoyed dining out, speaking Italian, cooking, and caring for his beloved dog, Franny. Roy never met a stranger, and he will be remembered for his kind heart and generosity.
A Catholic Mass will be held in his honor on Friday October 17th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompei/ St. Peter's Church in Syracuse.
