Olive Ann (Koester) Zacharek, 95, of Syracuse passed away October 30, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Olive was born in Macedon, New York to Carl and Eleanor Koester.
Olive moved to Syracuse when she was 18. She was always a hard worker and most times she worked two jobs to help support the family. She retired from Allen Bradley after 30 years.
Olive loved SU Basketball, and those that knew her knew to Never call her during a game! She liked gardening and caring for her roses. She loved swimming and made all the kids take lessons. Most of all she loved spending time with family.
On June 7, 2021 she prayed and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
Olive was preceded in death by her Parents, Carl and Eleanor Koester; Baby Sister, Marilyn; Sister, Norma Turner; and Brother, Ray Koester.
She is survived by two Sisters, Myrtle Gates and Ruth Wells; two Daughters, Pamela (Earl) Clarke and Cindy Austin; two Sons, Joseph (Dawn) Zacharek and John (Karen) Zacharek; Grandchildren, Tina (Bobby) Boyer, Brian (Michelle) Douglas, Gerald Douglas, Rachel Zacharek, Jeff Costanzo, Alicia (Jason) Chambers, Mari Zacharek and Joe Zacharek Jr.; Great-Grandchildren Elisabeth Fowler, Naomi Fowler, Zachary and Matthew Douglas, Bella and Leo Costanzo and Piper Zacharek.
