Olga Andreotta Kinsella

May 21, 1920 — August 23, 2019

Olga Andreotta Kinsella, 99, of Solvay, NY passed away peacefully on the morning of
August 23, 2019.

She was a beloved family matriarch and friend.

Olga was born on May 21, 1920, in Solvay, and spent her life residing there. Olga was
the middle child of Italian immigrant parents, Ernesto and Caroline Andreotta, and is
predeceased by her older sister Anita and younger brother William.

Her youthful exuberance, kind heart and keen sense of humor drew her future husband
John Donald Kinsella to pursue her until she married him on Labor Day, 1939. They
were married for 46 years until his passing in 1985.

A quintessential 1940s housewife and mother, Olga kept the home that her husband
built across the street from her loving parents in spotless order.

A modern woman and astute entrepeneur, she went on to take over her mother's business, Caroline's Grocery,
which opened in Fairmount in 1929, and which she continued to manage throughout the 50s and 60's until its closing. Through her dedication and hard work, she was able to provide a college education for both of her
children.

Olga was a friend to all, and a second mother to most. Gathering around her table was a
privilege for those who enjoyed a wonderful meal and spirited conversation. Her warmth
was contagious, and her love and acceptance of people was indiscriminate.

She played cards and bowled regularly with her high school buddies, well into her eighties. She was
an avid sports fan and spent many a weekend rooting for her favorite team, the
Syracuse Orange, as well as other collegiate and professional teams.

Olga is survived by her son, John Donald Kinsella (June Insel); her daughter Donna
Leigh Schaefer (Anthony Talarico); grandchildren, Kristan Kinsella Brinley (Todd Brinley),
Shannon King (Nicholas King), and Kelly Kinsella (Joseph Terminiello), and five great
grandchildren, N. Cristian King, Mitchel Brinley, Elliot King, Erin Brinley and Nathan King.

A private memorial service will be held in May 2020 to honor what would have been
Olga's 100th birthday. We know you will continue to love us, Olga, but we will always love
you more!
