Mr. Obasi Ogan, 56, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015.
Born in Ibadan, Nigeria on April 7, 1959, Obasi Ogan graduated from the University of Lagos.
He was an avid soccer fan, steeped in the history of the English and European Leagues and World Cup lore.
Born the fourth child in a family of 6, Obasi was the second son of renowned gynecologist and obstetrician Professor Okoronkwo Ogan and Oyidia Ogan a nurse and midwife.
He was popularly and affectionately known as 'Prof and Dean' Obasi was predeceased by his parents and older brother Amechi.
He is survived by his wife Isoken and six year old daughter Ebube.
He will be deeply missed by his siblings: Amma Ogan, Nnenna Ejekam, Chima Chionuma, Erinma Chibututu,
Brothers in Law: Martin Ejekam, Dr. Henry Chionuma, Dele Olojede, Uche Chibututu, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous family members and friends.
The family thanks the staff at the Regional Oncology Center and the Medical ICU at Upstate Medical University Hospital for the unceasing care and attention given to Obasi.
