September 8, 1948 — February 29, 2024

Novella A. Moore, 75, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on February 29, 2024, at her home. Novella was born in West Memphis, Arkansas on September 8, 1948, daughter of the late Van and Rosie Mae Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence, John and Van; along with sisters, Gladys and Mable.

Novella retired from Carrier Corporation after many years. She loved serving the Lord and sharing her faith with others. She also loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren, drinking coffee, her Fashion Fair makeup, getting her nails and hair done.

She is survived by her loving husband, Austin Moore, Jr.; children, Marcella Willis, Arnita (Shawn) Kelly, Austin T. (Tiffany) Moore, Jr., Derrick Moore, Tremaine (Ronesha) Moore; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Dorrie of Syracuse; brother, Ernest of Syracuse; sister, Ellen of Ohio; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many extra additions she was a motherly and grandmotherly figure to throughout her life.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 4-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with a sharing of memories at 6pm.
