Norman Joseph Lefebvre

Norman Joseph Lefebvre was born on Dec. 21st, 1944 in Westbrook, ME, son of Hormidas Lefebvre and Alice Lavigne. He graduated from Westbrook High School in 1963 and then enlisted in the US Air Force where he served his country in Vietnam. Following his tour of duty, Norman went to a dance where he met the love of his life, Patricia Thompson. The two were married on Nov. 5th, 1965. The two moved to Pompey, NY in 1967, he then started a career at Alpha Portland Cement Company where he worked for 19 years. He then went to the Onondaga County Sherriff's Department Jamesville Correctional Facility, while at the Sherriff's Department he was part of the Honor Guard and President of CSEA Union. Following his retirement, his wife and he continued to enjoy life in Melbourne FL and Manlius, NY. Norman's unconditional love for family and friends will be missed. Norman had a gift to light up any room with his presence. He was an avid fan of Syracuse Basketball and Football. An honorable father and husband of 50 years.
Norman is predeceased by his parents, sister, Jaclyn Meador; brother, Paul Lefebvre; great-grandson, Troy Michael Lefebvre.
Norman is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Lefebvre; brother, Alphee (Judy) Lefebvre of Westbrook, ME; children, Luke (Peggy) Searles; Nadeen Orth; Jeffrey Searles; Troy (Jaclyn) Lefebvre, Todd (Kari) Lefebvre; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Services will be private for the family. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Manlius Fire Department.
