Norma Danielewicz

July 16, 1946 — August 22, 2020

Norma Jean Danielewicz passed away unexpectedly on August 22nd at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

She is survived by daughters Emily Jean (Luke) Maslyn and their children Isabella & Logan, Penny Marie Felski, Susan Mary Danielewicz, sister Charlotte (Sam) Davis, brothers David Bakeman, Don (Susan) Bakeman, & widowed by her loving husband of a wonderful 38 years Ted Danielewicz. Norma was born in Fresno, CA in 1946 to Charles & Viola Bakeman.

She graduated high school in 1964 with honors from Thunderbird Academy in Scottsdale, AZ. Schooling followed a path towards working as a nurses aid. After living her younger life on the West Coast, she took a huge leap over to the East Coast after meeting her husband Ted in the San Francisco Bay Area while he was working as a jet engine mechanic for the United States Air Force on the Travis A.F.B. Before making the big move they married in 1971 in Highland Park CA with Leo & Bonnie Ramos as their witnesses who threw them their reception & who lovingly supported them always. Five years of settling into WNY living brought along their first daughter, Emily Jean & three years later Emily was a big sister to Penny Marie, & three years later Penny was a big sister to Susan Mary.

All three daughters cherished their mom who worked tirelessly to give them the foundation they needed to succeed in life. Whether it was driving them to see their Dad in the field, taxiing them to various sports, she was always carting her daughters around somewhere. She loved taking care of her girls and later helping out with her grandkids, Isabella & Logan. Norma Jean was a fantastic cook, kept beautiful gardens, was a JEOPARDY! whiz, loved music (especially Elvis) & singing, but most of all loved her girls with everything she had.
