Noel W. Warner, 98, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday.
Noel Warner Sr., a WWII veteran, served with the Big Red 1-16th Infantry regiment who campaigned from Africa into Sicily onto Omaha Beach, Normandy and then into Czechoslovakia in support of the Battle of the Bulge. Among his many medals were 2 Bronze Stars as well as 3 Presidential Citations.
He retired from Allied Chemical in 1977. He was a participant of Bikers for Babies for 9 years. He proudly wore the Christian Motorcycle Association colors. For over 20 winters he and mom travelled to Arizona, where he found his passion oil painting the beauty of the southwest. In his later years he truly enjoyed spending time with all of his family.
He is predeceased by his Wife of 59 years, Eleanor Warner; Daughter, Sue Spencer; Son in Law, Donald L. Rollins.
He is survived by his Sister, Zelia Frink; Children, Noel (Milly) Warner Jr., Nancy (Joseph) Capria, Elizabeth (John) Dardis, John (Laura) Warner, Katherine (Richard) Mastrocola and Karen Rollins;19 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild; As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 9:30 – 11 AM at Grace Episcopal Church, 110 Oswego St. (Rt. 48), Baldwinsville, NY. Services to follow immediately after. A reception will follow after in the basement of the church.
Burial will take place Saturday, July 15th, 2017.
