Nicholas Richard Procopio
January 12, 1934 — November 20, 2019
Nicholas Richard Procopio (Dick) (age 85) of Syracuse, New York passed away at the Veteran's Hospital in Syracuse on November 20th, 2019.
Mr. Procopio was a jazz teacher/musician. Best known for his saxophone abilities. Taught children throughout Onondaga County all the way to Dade County Florida. He did this because of his love for music, especially jazz. He was a fine sax player. He also served in the army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War. In his long life span he had many friends and many more students.
Mr. Procopio is survived by his daughter Nikki Ann Procopio-Derringer, and his granddaughter Taylor Michelle Procopio.
He was preceded in death by his father Nicholas Procopio, his mother Mildred Procopio, his sister Ann Orlando, and his grandson Brandon Alexander Davis.
A gathering will be held in his honor by his daughter in April, if interested in attending you can reach Nikki at 954-299-8638.
