Nelson Kirkpatrick passed away peacefully at home on Sept 29, 2021, with his family by his side.
He was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, graduated from East Syracuse Minoa high school, joined the Air Force after high school, and fought in the Korean War. While raising his 7 children with his wife Alice, he worked as a carpenter.
He was a devote Catholic with unshakeable faith. After retirement he and his wife Alice spent many enjoyable years making rosery's for the Marian Center to be distributed to local hospitals and nursing homes as well as across the globe as far as Africa. He and his family were long time parishioners of St. Lucy's Church, where he and Alice were married.
He is predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters and his loving wife of 60-years Alice on September 8, 2020.
He is survived by his children, Mary, Theresa, Harold, John, Elizabeth, Jean, Anne, and their families. He will also be missed by many friends, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Calling hours are Tuesday October 5th from 9-10am at Blessed Sacrament Church on James Street with a Christian Mass to follow at 10am and a military burial at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse immediately following.
