Nelson F. Long, 88, of N. Syracuse passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. A longtime resident of N. Syracuse. Faithfully serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a stamp dealer, expert on the Civil War, Little League Baseball Coach and a Founding Member of Faith Lutheran Church, Cicero. Retired from American Airlines.
Survived by his wife of 65 years, Clara. 4 sons, David (Rose) Long; Robert (Maryanne) Long; Ronald (Jill) Long and Billy Long. Survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours Wednesday 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Thursday 11am at Faith Lutheran Church, 6142 Route 31, Cicero, NY 13039. Interment will follow at N. Syracuse Cemetery.
