Nathan B. Cox of Canastota died peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends on June 29, 2013, following a short illness.



He was born in Oneida February 27, 1951 and lived most of his life in Canastota.

Nathan graduated from Canastota High School. He worked for many years in auto body repair, last working as a damage repair estimator.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Jordan of Canastota, one daughter, Meredith Cox Loveless, of Canastota three sons: Jeffrey P. Cox and Paul J. Cox, both of Canastota, and Christopher N. Cox (Monk) with Jill Thomas, Blossvale, and daughter in law Stacy Cox. of Canastota. Three sisters, Christine ( Peter) Villari, Felicia ( Douglas) Fesenger, of Canastota and Jackie (Bernerd) Bayne, of Sherrill. Two brothers, Philip (Susan) Cox of Rome and Joseph Jordan of Utica.

He is also survived by his precious grandchildren: granddaughter Kaylie Cox and three grandsons: Jeffrey N. Cox, Patrick Loveless, and Chaning Cox.

Nathan was predeceased by his father Theodore (Ted) Cox.


Nathan enjoyed his Harley, and spending time at his home with friends and family.

At Nathan's request, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of Nathan's life will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church 304 South Peterboro Street, Canastota.
