Nanette L. Zappala-Simmons, 41, of Brewerton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. She was employed by the North Syracuse School district as a bus driver for over 13 years. She had a great love for her boys and a passion for her horses and baking.
She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Mitchell Simmons; two sons, Mason and Gage Simmons; her parents, Myron and Barbara Zappala; a sister, Josette (Bryan) Bauer; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Stechyn; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, 10 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Golisano Children's Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
