Nancy A. Elderbroom

Nancy Ann Elderbroom, 89, of Cicero, NY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 23, 2024. She was born on November 27, 1934 in Syracuse, NY to the late Roy & Evelyn (Holden) Jacobson.

Nancy always thought her most important job was caring and raising her children. She was also extremely proud of her work at the Oncology Records Department at Upstate Hospital. Her last job was working alongside her husband, Harvey, managing an ROC Communities Property in Albion, NY. Nancy always loved time with her family, especially the grand and great-grandchildren. She loved watching the children in their events they were truly the apple of her eye. She was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cicero, NY.

Nancy is survived by her children, William (Margaret) Elderbroom, Dennis (Susan) Elderbroom, Debbie (Timothy) Swartz and daughter-in-law, Deborah Elderbroom; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Eric), Stacey (Paul), Julie (Devin), Tiffany (Stephen), Matthew (Tianyi), Jamie (Nico) and Jonathan (Pamela); 13 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Jacobson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Harvey Elderbroom; son Edward Elderbroom; granddaughter Jennifer Elderbroom and her brother Lynn Jacobson.

The family is thankful for the wonderful staff at Cottage #87 of The Cottages of Garden Grove in Cicero, NY, for their care in bringing Nancy into their family over the last three years.

 Visitation will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, N. Syracuse on Friday from 4-6PM.

A funeral mass will be held at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, September 30, 2024 with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
