Naimeh Jiries

Naimeh Jiries, 84 of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nazareth, Palestine and lived her last 27 years in the Syracuse area. She was devoted Christian and belonged to St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. She was a wonderful kind hearted soul who always had a good word to say about everyone. She truly was the anchor of the family who instilled wonderful values and morals in all of us. Naimeh was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved her family and dedicated her life to them. Our weekly family gatherings were golden treasures to her. Naimeh will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, gentleness, glowing smile and her love of life. She was predeceased by her husband, Tawfik in 1958.
She leaves behind many cherished family and friends and is survived by many loved ones; three daughters, Jihan (Sami) Khoury of Clay, Nabila (Nadim) Nasser of Cicero, Naela Jiries of North Syracuse; three sons, Fahed (Dalal) Jiries of Clay, Nabeel (Kathleen) Jiries of Clay and Nader (Gada) Jiries of Cicero; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 11AM at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church. Burial will be in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Wednesday, from 4-7PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse.
