Mimi Daniel Pavetto

July 18, 1948 — September 10, 2020

Mimi Daniel Pavetto passed away on September 10, 2020. She is survived by her mother Julia Daniel, two brothers, four sisters and twenty-four nieces and nephews.

Mimi was a successful educator who worked for the Ministry of Education in Israel for twenty years. There, she was a highly respected, and sought after teacher who was loved by her students and colleagues. She was awarded several accolades for her teaching methods and was promoted to becoming a principal.

Mimi was also an active parishioner in her church where she started a Sunday school program for the Church of Nazareth. She was adored by the children and their parents. She created performances for her community that involved singing, folk dancing and acting to represent the culture and Christian faith. One particular event her students and parents were most excited about was her unique Christmas reenactment of the birth of Jesus.
After coming to the United States she continued to serve her community by working as a Director for the McChesney Park Senior Center. There, she created unique programming that helped to promote the health and quality of life for the seniors that were served by the center. Mimi took great pride in the programming that she developed, which included bocce and pickle ball tournaments, daily yoga and pilate classes, health workshops in the areas of mediation and breathing techniques, holiday parties and weekly card games. Countless senior's testimonies explained how they surpassed their own expectations of their abilities due to the consistent programming Mimi created and encouraged them to be a part of. Mimi fostered a culture of love and respect within the center and saw incredible increases in enrollment and participation throughout her tenure.

Mimi lived her life with an unconditional devotion to her family and was a true embodiment of sacrificial love. She always yearned to be around the people who she loved most. Her example will always be embedded in our hearts and serve as an inspiration for us for years to come.
