Mildred I. Falter

April 26, 1938 — May 1, 2024

Mildred Falter, 86, of Northern Blvd, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2024 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY. She was surrounded in love from her family at the time of her passing and many a joyful tear was shed, knowing the heavens gained a beautiful loving soul. Mildred was born April 26, 1938 in Syracuse, NY to Edna and Jason Gay, Sr. Mildred was exceptionally bright and skipped 2 grades in high school graduating early at the age of 16. This is around the time she met her husband to be, Thomas Falter, Sr. They went on to enjoy a marriage lasting 65 years until Thomas passed away March 7, 2024.
Mildred was employed as an executive secretary at Carrier Corp. for many years, until she quit to begin her work as a mother, raising 4 boys, a job she continued to thrive at until the moment of her passing.
Mildred had a strength that allowed her to hold her head high through all the ups and downs life brought and also the kindest loving heart that endeared her to all that spoke her name. She possessed a sense of humor and a one of a kind love that will keep all whom were close to her smiling and laughing with fond remembrance for all our days to come. She loved her children and grandchildren in abundance but her first true love's call to be reunited in heaven, was to powerful to ignore. Mildred is back with her husband in heaven while her unconditional love remains here on earth in our hearts.

Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, Sr., her parents, Edna & Jason Gay, Sr., brother, Jason Gay, Jr and his wife Bonita Gay, sister Jean Dyer and her husband Robert Dyer, Sr., sister Edna Heard, brother-in-law Peter Cook, Sr., brother-in-law William Falter, Sr., sister-in-law Brenda Falter, as well as beloved nieces and nephews.
