Mildred E. Gillespie, 68, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday. Born in Newburg, NY to the late Edna Smith and Edward Gillespie and later moved to Syracuse where she spent most of her life. Mildred was an Accountant at Consolidated Industries for many years. She loved to sew, cook, listening to country music, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mildred was predeceased by a brother, Edison Gillespie.

Mildred is survived by her twin sister, Nellie Gillespie; brother, William (Joanne) Gillespie; sister, Carrie (Jack Thomas) Gillespie; niece, Alice Gillespie; Niece, Mary (Gabriel) Sanchez; nephew, John (Kim) Johnson; great- nieces and nephews, Danny, Tiffany, Victoria, Andy, Veronica and Gabriel, Jr.; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family.

Calling hours will be Monday 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse with a service to follow at 7PM. Burial will be private for the family.
