Michael Steven Hurst, 29, of Cicero, went to be with the Lord and now has a chance to fish with his grandfather, Ronald Battelle again in heaven.

He was born April 23, 1981 in Syracuse New York and was the oldest child of Steven Edgar and Beth Ann Hurst. Michael attended Cicero North-Syracuse High School with the class of 1999. He also graduated from Boces with his EPA Universal Certification, a hands-on training program covering HVAC.

Michael loved and was very much loved in return. He touched the lives' of everyone he knew.

Michael was an awesome musician, songwriter, and avid fisherman. He always left the house with a guitar or fishing pole in hand. He also was an amazing chef and had prestigious taste.

Family and friends will spend the rest of our life remembering Michael through his beautiful song and voice.

A loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, Michael is survived by his parents, Steven and Beth; sisters, Shannon (Paul Dousharm) and Holly; grandparents, Howard and Barbara Hurst and Nancy Battelle; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Service will be Monday 4 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home before service. The address is 705 North Main Street North Syracuse, NY 13212.
