MATTYDALE, NY --
Michael Ray Corbin, 44, formerly of Stuarts Draft, VA, died Sunday, January 19, 2014 in University Hospital of Syracuse, NY.
He was born April 6, 1969 in Staunton, VA, son of Sharon (Lotts) Wiseman and the late Ray B. Corbin.
Mike was a driver for Caruso Cattle Company for 10 years. He drove over 3 million miles in twenty-four years.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Herbert L. Lotts and Gail B. and Bessie (Stinnett) Corbin.
Survivors include his mother & step-father, Sharon and Steven Wiseman of Staunton, VA; a son, Jonathan Corbin and fiancée Ciarra Lindsay of Staunton, VA; a sister and brother-in-law Connie and Tim Bruns of Beavercreek, OH and his grandmother, Mildred (Hayes) Lotts.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday January 25, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Syracuse, NY.
A graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Steeles Tavern, VA.
Memorials may be made to Sarah House, 100 Roberts Ave. Syracuse, NY 13207 or your local American Cancer Society chapter.
When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little-but not too long.
And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared.
Miss me-but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone. It's
all a part of the Master's plan,a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we have known and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
