Michael Edward Meyer

Michael Edward Meyer, born in Lindenhurst, NY on February 24, 1961 to Joseph and Kathleen Meyer, found peace with the Lord on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Mike was an employee at National Grid for 43 years and a member of Living Word Church for 49 years. Mike was a devoted husband and father, an avid hunter, a storyteller, a jokester, a talented musician, a loyal friend, and a faithful believer in Jesus Christ. Mike touched the lives of so many, volunteering at his church, counseling youth struggling with addiction, teaching Sunday school, giving trumpet lessons, and befriending just about everyone he ever met. However, Mike always said the best thing he ever did was marry his best friend, Mel.

His memory is carried on by his wife of 32 years, Melissa Meyer, and his children, Kathryn & Andrew Saltz, Sean & Lydia Meyer, Rachel Meyer, and Moriah Meyer.

Mike was pre-deceased by his brother, Joseph “Butch” (Laurie) Meyer, and is survived by his sister, Susan Meyer, and his brother, Eric (Kym) Meyer.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Living Word Church, 6099 Court Street Rd., Syracuse, NY 13206, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 10:00 am with Pastor Ben Connor officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery - Dewitt.
