Mike was known my many names throughout his life.
Husband to Maureen, the only love of his life, who predeceased him in 2019.
Dad to his three children, that he adored. Melissa (Jim) Riter, Shelly (John) Schwenn and Michael G Mapother Jr. He loved each one of them as if there were only one of them.
Brother to his siblings. He was number 3 of 9 to Jim, Ann, Susan, Sharon, Beth, Tom, Mark, and Kate.
His favorite name, by far was Gampy. He had seven grandchildren that were the light of his life. Bailey, Grayson, Trinity, Mason, Harper, Gaberiel, and Emma. He formed special relationships with each of them.
Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with his hands, and being with his family. He was a kind, patient, humble, and gentle man. He had a kind word for everyone, and left people better than they were before. Mike was a strong lover of Christ and brought many people to the Lord.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the wounded warrior project, in honor of their son, Michael, who fought bravely in Afghanistan.
