Michael L. Commisso Jr.

Michael L. Commisso Jr., a beloved father and cherished member of the Cicero community, passed away peacefully on October 15 2024, after a long illness. Born on May 20, 1953, in Syracuse, NY, Michael was known for his heart of gold. He dedicated his life to being a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother and more, and his spirit will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege to know him.

Michael's greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He found solace in the simple pleasures of life, including riding motorcycles with his family, bowling, and playing cards. These moments brought him immense happiness and created lasting memories that will be treasured by his loved ones.

He leaves behind his devoted daughter, Michelle (Jeremy) Jones, Mary Commisso, as well as his adored grandchildren, Maxwell Jones, Makiya Peters, and Ryan Peters Jr. Michael is also survived by his siblings: John (Maryellen) Commisso, Joseph (Patricia) Commisso, Patricia (John) McGrath, Maria (James) Hanmer, and Brenda (Joseph) Farrance. Additionally, he is remembered by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Sr. and Patricia Commisso, who will greet him with open arms in everlasting peace.

A visitation will be held on October 20, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212. This will be followed by a funeral service on October 21, 2024, at 11:30 AM, with interment to take place at North Syracuse Cemetery at 12:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and pay their respects during this time of reflection and remembrance.

Michael L. Commisso Jr. will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him. His legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
