Michael Bolowsky

April 21, 1942 — January 19, 2024

Michael "Marty" Bolowsky, Jr., 81, of East Syracuse, passed away January 19, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by loving family. Marty was born in Syracuse on April 21, 1942 son of the late Michael and Genevieve Bolowsky.

Marty in his youth was very active in many sports including, football, softball, basketball, soccer, golf and volleyball. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He spent his lifetime serving others especially helping children. He ran a boys group home, a girls group home, he worked at Hillbrook Detention Center and was a teacher, coach and a faithful servant at Living Word Academy and Church. Marty had the gift of finding humor in any situation, in hopes of providing encouragement and laughter.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Bolowsky, Three daughters; Kristine Rinaldi, Kerry (Kevin) White, Erin (Chris) Bolowsky, Three grandchildren, Hailey, Jacob and Emily.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 9am-10:30am at Living Word Church, 6099 Old Court St., Syracuse, with services at 10:30am. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Living Word Church.
