Michael A. Williams, 68, of North Syracuse, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday while surrounded by his family. He was born in Syracuse to the late Joseph and Sally (Zella) Williams. Michael was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy in 1964 and O.C.C. in 1966. He served in the US Air Force for four years. Michael retired in 2015 from Sysco after over 40 years of service. He enjoyed taking many cross country trips on his Harley and participating in charity events and rides with his local Harley Owners Group. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and boating.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Sally (Zella) Williams; Father-in-law, Louis G. Pizzuti and granddaughter, Chelsea Koons. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diane (Pizzuti); four daughters, Kristine (Daniel) Lehrer, Kimberly (Butch) Koons, Diana (Mick) Campbell and Nicole (Don) Jennings; sister, Patricia (Bennie) Stagnitta; mother-in-law, Wanda (Verle) Soule; brother-in-law, Louis (Theresa) Pizzuti; 7 grandchildren, Amanda, Lindsey, Rachel, Brianna, Adam, Michael and Connor; 3 great-grandchildren, Layla, Raiden and Piper; 3 nephews, Brian (Stephanie), Scott (Jennifer) and David; 1 niece, Maria and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Nov. 1st, 2-6 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. A funeral service will be Monday, Nov. 2nd, 10 AM at Life Church, 7125 Collamer Rd., E. Syracuse, NY 13057 with burial to follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Golisano Children's Hospital.
