Melissa Marie (Luke) Wenham, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 16.
Melissa was the beloved wife to Jason and adoring mother to Jack and Luke. She is survived by her loving parents Doug and Gail Luke; sister Rachel (Isaac); and her dork brother Eric (Nichole); and paternal grandmother Dorothy Luke (GG).
Melissa took pride in her boys, attending sporting events, school fairs, birthday parties, camping trips, attending Boy Scout events, and making sure they did their homework assignments on time- to name a few! Melissa was instrumental in getting Luke's epilepsy under control and in a stable place. She truly was Wonder Woman! She was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Melissa was a wine connoisseur that loved painting in her studio. She loved riding her bike and competed in several Triathlons all over New York State. Melissa worked for 17 years in probation for Onondaga County, most recently as a probation officer supervisor. Melissa was a fierce advocate for victims of child abuse and spent countless hours volunteering at McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center. Melissa was a graduate of the State University of New York, College at Oswego and a proud member of Phi Lambda Phi Sorority who loved and supported her sisters dearly.
