Melissa Marie "BeBop" Latz, 35, of Syracuse, NY, passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2021 in Syracuse.
Melissa was born in Syracuse, NY to Catherine A. Meech and George E. Latz, III on September 25, 1985. Melissa's pride and joy was her son Benjamin, whom she loved beyond measure. Melissa had a smile that would light up a room, a contagious laugh, a heart of gold, an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful soul. Melissa was an organ donor and has gifted life to at least four known recipients.
Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents: Shirley Latz, George E. Latz, Jr, Margaret L. Meech, John A. Meech, Jr., great-grandmother Esther W. Meech; cousin Jonathan Fox, aunt Fanny O'Hara; dear friend & grandmother of her son Joanie Doxtator and dear friends Roxanne and Patty Ann Saya.
Melissa is survived by a large loving family, including her son, Benjamin M. Kolbasook, Jr., her friend and father of their son, Benjamin M. Kolbasook; her mother, Catherine A. Meech (Thomas Jenner, Sr), her father George E. Latz, III (Kim Reed), her siblings Christopher Fox, Kristin Fox (Robel Serrano), David Fox, Nicole Meech (Charles Smith), George E. Latz, IV, Tiffany Meech, Shianne Latz (Brandon Culkin), Jessica Latz (John McCallops), Jennipher (Latz) Barletta (Martino Barletta), Joellen (Eckert) Prietti (Nicholas Prietti); many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and two great-nephews, as well as her beloved dogs Tippy, Bear, Apollo, Roxy and her cats Rascal, Yeager and Boots.
