Megan (Serrao) Wellington, 27, of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Syracuse, passed away November 24, 2011. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from West Genesee High School. She was an avid hiker and photographer.
She is survived by her husband, Jasen Wellington; father and step-mother, Thomas and Barbara Serrao; mother, Denise Purcell; step-father, Matt Purcell; sisters, Deborah Mazzole, Jessica Walburger, Carrie Amidon, Nicole Purcell, Courtney Purcell and Brittany Purcell; paternal grandparents, Bruno and Pauline Serrao; maternal grandmother, Susan Walburger; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, 4 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-4PM at the funeral home, before services.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of your choice.
