Maureen Anne Lowe, 75, of Clay, passed away April 8, 2022. Maureen was born in Syracuse, New York to the late Harry and Rita Gartlan. Maureen was a registered nurse in the NICU at Crouse for 41 years. She was one of the original coordinators for the NICU Alumni parties.
She was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish Women's Heart Group in Central Square. Maureen worked at the Assumption Food Pantry and was an extraordinary minister at the Cottages in Cicero. She was an avid sewer, knitter, and quilter.
St. Patrick's day was like Christmas to her. It was her favorite holiday. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Maureen was predeceased by a brother, James Gartlan.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerry Lowe, daughter, Christina Lowe; son, Daniel (Kimberly) Lowe; granddaughter, Rayshelle Smith; grandson, Jacob Lowe; sister, Kathleen Spano; two brothers, Jay (Duanne) Gartlan, Patrick Gartlan; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse.
A mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday 11:30AM at Divine Mercy, Central Square.
If you will be attending please wear your finest green apparel.
Entombment will take place in St Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Parish, St Jude's Children's Hospital, or Crouse Memorial NICU.
