Mr Matthew Harris, 87 of Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully, and went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday March 1, 2011
Matthew was born May 8th 1923 in The State of Florida. He resided in Syracuse New York for over 60 years.
Matthew, preceded in death by his Companion of over 10 years Ms. Marion Bivens, A step Son, Williams J. (Bang) Bivens, His Sister-in- Laws, Mrs. Kathryn Harrison, Joyce Carmichael and Barbara Douglas.
Mr. Matthew Harris, leaves to mourn his passing, cherish his memory and celebrate his life, his Sister-in-Laws, Grace (Eddie) Ramsey, Minister Caroll Green, Laceyia Murray, Renee Moore, Cassaundra Grovner, and Valdessa Marshall. All of Syracuse New York. 5 Nieces, Sybil Myers, Sylvia (Ronnie) Dowdell, Deborah Thomas, Denise R. Edwards-Williams and Joanne Davis, 5 Nephews, Gregory (Barbara) Edwards, Steven (Kim) Edwards, Gary (Nakita) Edwards, Robert (Rita) Jones and Vincent (Kristal) Ramsey. A host of Grand Nieces & Nephews, Cousins and friends.
Services will be Tuesday, 12PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212. Burial will follow at Loomis Hill Cemetery, Syracuse, NY. Calling hours will be from 10AM to 12PM, at the funeral home, before services.
