Matthew J. Hamilton

Matthew J. Hamilton, 37, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday January 29, 2025. Matthew was born in Syracuse, NY on April 13, 1987 son of David and Gloria Hamilton. Matthew was a car salesman for Fox Honda in Auburn. Matthew was predeceased by his mom, Gloria. He is survived by loving girlfriend, Amy Keating, his dad, David (Patty) Hamilton, daughter, MacKenzie Hamilton, sisters, Kathleen Raney, Jennifer (Jon) Gosson, Stephanie Hamilton; nephews and niece: Shawn, Mark, Brandon & Tyler Washer, Aaron(Connor) & Megan Martinez and Avery & Spencer Gosson; uncle, Rick Hamilton; brother-in-law, Brian Washer; in-laws, Diane (Kevin) Keating, brother-in-law, Adam (Lauren) Keating. 

Matt (Matt-man) loved all things cars, the faster the better. As a child he collected matchbox cars that he would bring anywhere he went. As an adult he entered the workforce doing what he loved. Matt was successful in the field of autosales and made many friends and repeat customers over the years at several of the CNY dealerships. Matt liked to spend his downtime fishing on the Caughdenoy Dam on Oneida River, spending evenings with Amy watching WWE and could be found during football season cheering on his favorite team, the Jacksonville Jaguars . Matt's biggest accomplishment was his beautiful daughter Mackenzie. He loved to watch her during track and field meets and was her biggest fan. Matt left an impression with everyone he met and will be truly missed by all. Our family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors at Upstate Hospital, Strong Memorial and NYU Langone Health for all the care and support given to Matt over the past year. 

There are no services at this time.
