Mason D. Mascato

Mason D. Mascato, 24, of North Syracuse, passed away on March 15, 2025, while awaiting a heart transplant at New York Presbyterian - Columbia with his loving family by his side.

Mason was born on November 30, 2000 to Michael and Andrea Mascato.

Mason majored in English at St. Bonaventure University and would have graduated in May 2025. While there, Mason was a resident assistant and member of the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program.

In his free time, Mason enjoyed gaming with his friends and listening to all types of music, especially rock music. He also loved fishing and hanging out with his niece and nephew, referring to them as "his babies." On Sundays, Mason could always be found rooting for the Seahawks.

Mason had an offbeat sense of humor and was loved by all who crossed paths with him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard LaMontagne, and Jacqueline Robinson, and his paternal grandparents, Samuel (Marie) and Patricia Mascato. Mason is survived by his parents, sister Tori (Louis) Hickman, two brothers, Chris Mascato and Noah Mascato, niece Giavonna, nephew Amari, niece Addison, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him very much.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY.
