Mary Lou Umbach, 73 of Kirkville, NY, passed away on July 9th, 2022. Born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 29th, 1949 to the late Leo and Virginia LaBombard.
She was a manager for D&D Carpets for 22 years and moved on to be a cashier at Wegmans in DeWitt. She had a passion for horses. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Predeceased by her life partner, Sam DeGeorge.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Obit (Scott) and Peter Obit IV; grandchildren, Gary, Justin, Karah Moore, Brandyn Moot, Breanna Boshane, Chase, Cadance, Michael Obit; great-grandchildren, Jedidiah, Evangalene, Lilianna, Jacob, Ellie, Angela, Cassius and Cassander; siblings, Patricia (Dan) Chandler and Beverley (Tom) Grzejka and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY on Sunday, July 17th, 2022 from 1-4pm. Funeral service will follow at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
