Mary Palumbo-Lightenfield (Pidge), 76, of Parish, peacefully transitioned home on Good Friday. Mary was a longtime member of Abundant Life Christian Center for 24 years.
Mary's love for Jesus was the driving force behind her love for the less fortunate. Mary was a residential and home healthcare provider and employee of Syracuse Developmental Center for 20 plus years.
Mary also had a passion for writing and is the author of a book of poems called Inspirational Poems from the Heart.
Mary is survived by 3 sons, Patrick Broeker, James (Marlena) Race and Peter (Karen) Race; 10 grandchildren; 8 and 1/2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, JoAnne (Tony) Husak and Patty (Geoff) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, April 14th 11AM-12PM at Abundant Life Christian Center, 7000 All Nations BLVD, E. Syracuse. A memorial service will follow at 12PM.
